Relaxing night reading. Glass of wine, romantic open fire crackling behind? Or is it a frantic search for information in the wee hours of the morning? What time period is this? Whose reading and why?
Use your initial impression of something and run with it until you've exhausted it, then look again - what else do you see? Ask yourself more what ifs? Brainstorming can be fun when you just let go and enjoy the process.
