This is quite eerie, lots of dark stories come to my mind. Can you see someone at the window? I wonder what is beyond the grill and where it leads? Is the person trapped or hiding? Perhaps they just live there?
As a writer, sometimes things will come to your mind that are actually out of character for you, maybe you don't usually think of dark things. I'd challenge you to go with it anyway, see where those thoughts lead. They just might be what you've been looking for in your story.
