What do you do when a goal you set doesn't work out? Maybe the deadline has come and gone, perhaps the story has come to a stand still and you just can't get it any further. What about when you get some less than pleasant feedback? What do you do?
What you do when things don't work out is a good indicator of how dedicated you are to your craft.
The best thing you can do is - KEEP GOING.
Move through whatever it is that isn't going so well, and soldier on.
Easy to say, but harder to do. Stay motivated when you're feeling deflated, don't let it get the better of you. I'm sure you've learnt something. Even if it's how not to do something.
If the problem is story stagnation, leave it for a while and move onto something else, but don't stop writing altogether. If you're dream is to write, then write.
One day, you will sit back and read what you wrote and realise it is your magnum opus!
If you continue to move forward, you'll get there eventually. Patience is something every writer needs, and the one thing that will be continually challenged.
Happy writing ;)
